Hello everyone. I am feeling stressed for the past few days because of my parents' dropbox application for their B1/B2 visa renewal.
To give an overview, my parents had renewed their visa once, back in 2012, hence they need to renew it for the 3rd time, which is this year. We did a dropbox since they are eligible for it, however, the CEAC displayed a refused status on their website, which I assumed is in administrative processing. Today, the embassy returned the passports with a 221G green slip stating that they are asked to go for an interview on February 24. I am so confused as my parents were never rejected for visas and had only traveled thrice for the past 20 years, the first one for 4 months, then they were granted renewal. The second one was for 1 1/2 months, and the last was 5 months.
It says to bring the 221G letter, the passport, and other documents from the original application. What are these documents? The documents from 20 years back or the documents submitted with dropbox?
Another concern would be: my mom didn't include the passport (which is already expired and does not have a US Visa) with the stamp of our second visit, which is within the last 5 years. She only gave her 3 passports-- the original one with the first US visa, the second one with the current US visa, and the latest renewed passport. She thought that the expired passport with no US visa, but with the entry stamps of our second trip was not needed. Can this be a reason why?
Thank you for the help.
