first name spelling mismatch on visa and passport, can cause any immigration issues?

My father in law renewed passport in India and changed the spelling of his first name from Dileep to Dilip. The USA travel visa which we did few years back has the old spelling of his name(Dileep).

We have got a notarized document from lawyer that gives the details of the name change and attached with original name document with it. signed and stamped by Gazette officer

We are planning the travel soon and we are trying to understand if this will cause any issue in immigration when he enters in USA. He has travelled to USA before with the old passport.

He has two issues: name change and the fact that he has a different passport from the one that the visa was issued for. He will need to bring both passports as well as the document showing the name change. It likely would behoove him to apply for a new visa with the current info.
