Hi,
I got a 1 year multiple entry Visa. In the form DS-156 i had mentioned that i am going for pleasure tourism and visiting my brother, even though the major reason was appearing for CPA (certified public accountant) exam. The exam can be appeared with B1/B2 visa. At the POE in US the officer asked me the pupose of my visit and i told him for pleaure tourism, but when he checked my baggage he saw my CPA books and was very offended to know that i lied to the officer. He said that either he would give me a one month stay or will deport me back.He also said that i can appear for the exam and also travel across the country in this duration and that this lying episode has been documented in there records and would be used for fututre references.. I took the one month stay. Now, i have rescheduled my tests to finish in one months duration tho its a little difficult.Although I am not sure whether i would be able to pass all the tests in this short duration.
My question is , if i have to come back to US for reappearing the test what should be the gap before my second visit and should i mention at the poe in my second visit (if required) that i want to appear for CPA EXAM. I am 26 and single and this was another reason for the officers suscpicion.
