  • A copy of return air ticket as a supporting document of I-539

    Hi,

While applying for an extension of stay on a B-2 visa, should I send the current airline ticket as a supporting document?

My mother came to the US on May 25, 2010. Therefore, she has been allowed to stay until November 24, 2010 (6 months) in her I-94. I had bought a return ticket for her with a return date of November 13, 2010. Now, we are applying for an extension of her stay. If she is granted then I will reschedule this return ticket.

    1) As a supporting document, should I send the current return ticket?

    2) Also, should I mention in my letter that if the extension is granted, I am going to reschedule the ticket?

    thanks,
    Dash

You should send the airline ticket with an extended date already.
