Passport is about to expire during the visa process (Delay due to Covid-19)
Hi,
I'm an Indian passport holder. I applied for US Tourist visa before covid. My application was submitted but the interview went on to hold and then cancelled due to covid. Since then, the US embassy in India (Delhi) hasn't open up the interview slots. It's been close to two years. My passport is now about to expire in next 10 months. which mean to full-fill the condition of 6 months validity, I have only 4 months remaining on this passport.
What is the process, if the embassy still not able to take the interview and issue visa in next 4 months(very likely they won't be able to from what I have heard from other people)?
Do I get to change the passport number in the application process?
Do I need to bring both the passports during my interview?
Would I still be eligible for the same application even with a new passport(after renewal)?
