Claiming a visitor as dependent in tax!!

Hi,

If we have any visitor (say parents) who stays for about 6 months,
has anyone tried to claim them as dependent while doing their taxes
in US?

I know they will not have tax-id or ssn, but wanted to see if any of
you investigated.

First they need to have ITIN before you can possibly do it.
