221G + embassy appointment schedule

Hello - I am not famililar with appointment scheduling and requesting for assistance

My father had a visa drop box appointment for B2 tourist visa and received a 221g requesting for additional information. In order for me to set an embassy appointment do I need to complete the online DS160 form again, as not clear on the process. Can someone kindly advise?

Follow the directions on the letter. It will mention what additional information and how to send it in.


Refusal under section 221(g) means that essential information is missing from an application or that an application requires additional administrative processing.


When your visa application is refused under section 221(g), you will be given a written letter notifying you of the visa refusal and will have 12 months from that date to submit the requested documents without having to reapply and without having to pay a new visa application fee. If you do not submit the requested documents within one year, your applicant may be terminated per section 203(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act

Its not refused yet and have requested for in-person appointment. I am trying to check the process of fixing the appointment as we have created a login before to use but not sure if we have to fill the DS-160 again and fix the appointment. The current appointment is showing blank as indicated
