Mom who can speak only Telugu, from a village, 53 years, widow, attended 3rd consulate interview and got visa finally. Here are few snippetts of the day.
- Rejected twice before under section 214-b.
- This time the documents are almost the same, but I added few extras like, recommendation letters from prominent persons who knows me and my mother. In the letters, it was enforced that my mother will be return to India after her US visit.
- Two officers interviewed her on the same day, each for 30 minutes. They asked every question that is possible. I should say around 100 questions. They repeated the questions, again and again to reconfirm.
- Both the officers checked literally all documents.
- I am here in US, my brother and sister are in village in India. She told the same thing, and affirmed the officer that she has to go back to India for the rest of the family and to look after farm lands.
*** Based on the questions she was asked, here are My recommendations for the visitor ***- Be positive and frank, don't lie.
- Prepare your relative for the interview very thoroughly to the minute detail.
- Your relative must remember all the names and dates vey well. Officers cross check on what you say with the documents you provided.
- Ofcourse you have to have all the documents.
- Have some recommendation letters to ensure that the visitor will return to India after the visit.
- Pray God, we need his/her blessings.
Thanks and all the Best.
