  • visitor visa - changing jobs (H-1 transfer)

My parents have a visitor visa appointment on Mar 17. I sent them papers from company X (employment letter, I-797, I-134, invitation letter); all of them state that I am an employee of company X. Now I am planning to change to company Y and I should apply for H-1 transfer.

I am planning to join company Y in Mar first week with Receipt/I-797 , hoping to get Receipt/I-797 by then. I know H-1 transfer approval takes some time. What should I do in this situation? Do I postpone my parents appointment to a later date to pile up new documents?

Can they still go for appointment on Mar 17 if I change jobs by then? What documents could I send so that they can go for interview on the same date? I dont think I will have at least 1 pay stub by that time from new company. Shall I be sending a new invitation letter (stating that I am an employee of company Y), new I-134 stating new company name, new employment letter etc. Please advise. Thanks a lot!!

Just send the documents from the current company you are working with, whenever you send the documents.

There is no problem in changing the job later, even before they go for an interview.
