B-2 Visitor Visa online extension - confirmation to stay past I-94 expiry

Has anyone applied for extension online?
I applied online to extend stay for my mother on 4/24, her current I-94 is valid till 6/1.
Immediately after submitting the application it auto generated a receipt, it has following in it

We have received the application or petition ("your case") listed above. This notice only shows that USCIS accepted your online filed case on the
"Received Date" listed above. It does NOT grant you any immigration status or immigration benefit, and it is not evidence that your case is still pending.
We will update your online account when we make a decision on your case or if we need additional information.

For 5 days the USCIS case status site gave an error that the receipt number is invalid.
On 4/29 they sent a message to the online account that biometric appointment is scheduled with the biometric appointment notice.

I am not clear if this now means the application is pending that allows her to stay beyond I-94 expiry date.

I have tried sending numerous messages through online account, but did not receive any response even after 10 days.

Any input here is greatly appreciated.

If she was lawfully admitted and has applied for the extension timely (appears she has), she is allowed to stay. She should however make plans to promptly exit in the event the extension is denied.
