Will My parents Visa approve if my Visa is expiring?

Date 10/16/10 - My Visa will expire by Jan 2011. My I-94 will expire by Jan 2013. I want to apply Tourist Visa for my Parents by Nov 10. I am sponsoring my parents. Can I apply and sponsor their visa in Nov 10 ? Will my parents' tourist visa approve or denied based on my visa or I94 status ?
