B2 to H1B
I was previously on a F1 visa that expires in 2013 but my I20 has lapsed since I am not currently enrolled full-time in a school (degree completed). I am currently outside the US. I want to go back to the US to work.
Can I go to the US to visit family for about three months and interview for a position that can sponsor a H1B for me?
Will I be able to change status from B2 to H1B without leaving the country or should I leave and re-enter on new status?
If I get a job in early 2011, will I still have to wait till Oct 2011 to start the job (assuming non-university job)? Or has that changed since the H1B quota no longer gets filled?
