hi

i appeared for visa interview ... councillor asked me 2 move to window 21 where i was said that ur visa has been approved but we need additional admin processing time .... they have not asked for any document..........

can u please how much time does it takes for procesing ?????

Hi Ravi,
I am in the same situation.
Appeared on 25/08/2010 for B2 at Delhi given a pink slip, no documents asked for, passport retained by vo, and still waiting.

nops i didn contact embassy did u contact them wat did they say ?

wat was the purpose of the visit ?

i had my exam ....

its only nine working days till now but 14 calendar days i am hoping to hear them soon

Yes I did contact the consulate.
They said that it is mandatory and cannot give a time frame for completion, and keep looking for the update on the site.
Purpose was to visit my son.

wat do they do in admin processing ...? do they verify us with someone with same name on their database who been in USA or they verify applicant information in india am bit confused with this ..............?

Hi Ravi,
I have no idea what checks they do. Probably they check for name similarity on thier data base, I dont think they do any verification from indian sources.
I am sorry I dont have the answer to this. What I am saying is all what I have heard from other people.

Hi Ravi,
Great news! I got my passport with visa stamped for ten years multiple entry today.
Keep patience and I am sure you will get it too.
The consulate took almost 60 working days to clear it.
Please try out the VFS global service site of your area and click on the Passport track link, there you may get some info.
I clicked on it today morning and from there I came to know that the Visa is processed and the passport has been despatched by Blue Dart courier, although the US embassy site is still showing case pending.
