I was reading through this forum and saw how many people (parents) were denied visitor visa for no good reason. I came to this list because today my parents were denied visitor visa in 1st attempt and i already feel bad about it.
If we classify why people come for visitor visa, it would be safe to say for
a) Helping Expecting mothers
b) Meeting grand kids
c) Graduation ceremony
d) Tourism.
Even though we provide all the supporting documents both from US and India, go through pain to make sure that we did not miss any thing and get things notorized just for the sake of consulates, they do not even bother to glance through any of the documents but instead simply say "SORRY".
I understand that they are very smart people and read body language and need no documents to support their assumption or theory, are they always correct ?. If yes then i say it is unjustice to people for the money they pay $4400 per person and if two people and not residing to same city then it goest to 10 to 15K rupees not to mention the emotional trauma they have to go through after denial.
I had one of my american citizen friend (not indian or indian origin) apply for Indian Visa from TX and he was frustrated that he did not get reply in 1 week and no one answers his phone at the consulate. He says is this how Indians work ? He did get his stamped passport in a week.
If people like him feel bad just by not getting service in time, we should get much better service than what we go through and pay for. If we say they have all the so called "DATA" then why can't they force ppl to leave after stipulated time if they don't go back voluntarily ? this is just one solution i am sure there can be a better one.
Bottom line, Why isnt any one doing anything about these issues or is there a place where you can raise your concerns ? or US ppl still feel that these are not legitimate concerns ?
Sorry, i don't mean to offend any one but my heart felt for some one on this list "Charla" who was expecting and her mother was denied for 3 times without any reasons and same with many more....
