  • College/University name in DS-160

    Hello,
While filling education info in DS-160, should we use college name or university names for Bachelor's, Inter(11-12th) and 10th standard?

    Thank You.

    Hii!
Yes. The term "upper secondary school" is typically used to refer to classes 11 and 12. However, it is commonly referred to as college. Typically, we refer to graduating courses as Bachelor's courses rather than as classes 13, 14, and 15. These are specialized courses offered by institutions affiliated with several universities around the nation.
Please feel free to inquire if you have any other questions.

    Hope this was useful.

I would suggest University name, as it is more known to VOs.

Even if you attended a college within a university, it's still recommended to write down the university name to avoid any confusion. As for your question, you should mention the name of the university for your Bachelor's degree, and for 11-12th and 10th standards, you can mention the name of the school you attended.

In the DS-160 application, it is important to provide accurate and consistent information regarding your educational history. When filling out the section for Bachelor's, Inter (11-12th), and 10th standard, you should mention the names of the specific institutions you attended. In the case of college and university names, include the official name of the institution where you pursued your Bachelor's degree. Make sure to verify the spelling and accuracy of the names to avoid any confusion or discrepancies. Providing precise and truthful information will contribute to a smooth application process. Good luck with your DS-160 application!

When you're filling out the education section in the DS-160 form, just put down the names of the colleges or universities you went to. For your Bachelor's degree, you can write "Harvard Business School" if that's where you studied. And for your 11th and 12th grade, and 10th grade, just write the names of the schools you went to during those years. Just make sure to give accurate info. By the way, welcome to the forum! I'm new here too.

When completing your DS-160 form, it's crucial to accurately provide your college or university name. However, I understand that sometimes the process can be overwhelming.

If your country typically uses the term "university" for institutions that offer Bachelor's degrees, then you should use "university" in the DS-160 form. However, if your country uses "college" to refer to institutions offering Bachelor's degrees, then use "college."

When filling out the education information in DS-160, you should use the names of the institutions you attended. If your institution is a university, use the university name for your Bachelor's degree. For your Inter (11-12th) and 10th standard, use the terms of the respective schools or colleges you attended.

Providing the correct name ensures clarity and avoids potential complications during the application process. It underscores the significance of attention to detail in visa documentation, reflecting applicants' commitment to compliance.

Yes, you are 100% required to provide information about your education. You must indicate both your school and college or university. When I turned to research paper writing services, I used https://ca.edubirdie.com/research-paper-writing-services for this. Then later I also wrote about the educational institution. This must be done in all official documents where the form requires it. The main thing is to write everything without errors, otherwise there will be delays.
