Sponsor for parents

Hello!

We plan to sponsor my parents on tourist visa.
I and my husband are both working. When I went through your site, it suggested that I be the sponsor or both [wife and husband] sponsor.

If we both [me and my husband] want to sponsor, then how should the Affidavit of Support form (I-134) be filled? Is it just I-134 to be taken care off, or any other documents in addition. We both have separate bank accounts.

On the other hand, is it suggested to open joint account now?

Please help me with the above questions

Don't open joint account or anything new just for sponsoring purposes.

You can just fill I-134 yourself. You can either mention only money in I-134 or you can mention both of your money.

If to mention both our money, should I have to mention added amount of our annual incomes and saving accounts OR just my annual income and his saving account information will do.

FYI: I do not have a saving account. And my checking does not show enough balance for sponsoring both my parents.

As long as you show that you have enough money to take care of their expenses while visiting USA, it does not matter whether you show joint or separate.
