filing for extension of stay when visitor visa is expiring

My mother in law is currently in USA and her i-94 is expiring on Oct 26th 2022.
Her 10 year Visitor Visa is expiring on Nov 30th 2022.


Is it possible to file for extension of stay for another 6 months?
Has anyone done it with I-539?

Yes. Visa is only for entry and has no relevance to one's stay inside the US.
