  • Tourist Visa - Thinking of Marriage

Hello, I am currently visiting USA on a tourist visa. I have been here for 4 months and I am planning to marry my boyfriend who is a US citizen.
I had no plans to marry or be here permanently but now I am in love and wish to settle with him legally.
I will appreciate if anyone could guide me or suggest me the process of adjustment of status and what is needed to file.
Also need suggestion on how to marry in court and the correct steps.
Thanking you in advance. God Bless.

    Sarah

First you have to get married in USA. Second get all documentation to prove your marriage, Third file for Green Card with USCIS directly (Form I-130 & Form-485).

Enter on A Tourist Visa, Get Married And Return Home You are certainly allowed to get married and go back home before your status expires, but you must be ready to present strong and solid evidence to prove to the CBP officer that you intend to return your home country after the wedding. If you're considering marriage while on a tourist visa, it's essential to understand the legal implications and requirements in the country you're visiting. Firstly, ensure that your tourist visa allows for such activities, as some countries may have restrictions or specific rules regarding marriage on tourist visas. Additionally, familiarize yourself with the process and documentation required for marriage in that country, such as obtaining a marriage license or fulfilling residency requirements. Keep in mind that attempting to marry solely for immigration purposes can be considered visa fraud and may have serious consequences. It's advisable to seek legal advice and thoroughly research the regulations beforehand to ensure compliance and avoid any complications.
