A question around obtaining a Schengen Visa

Hello! I'm a member of a non-eu country and currently am working in the UK under graduate route visa. My work is going on a trip to Spain at the end of October, however, at the moment I cannot join as I do not have a Schengen visa.

I was wondering if there is any way to get a short-term visa through work or if my only way of obtaining one is going through the general tourist visa route?
