Visa for visitors query

Hello, I'm in Toronto with a visitor's visa and intend to stay for six months, with the possibility of an extension. I'm from Germany, and I'm here. Can I Visit the United States for a Few Days and Return Successfully to Canada? Additionally, I rented a place here. Has anyone dealt with this before? I am aware that admission is never assured, but what do you recommend? No hassles at all getting in.
