Dear Sirs,
My wife & I are UK citizens & own a home in England we receive UK pensions pay UK taxes & have no intention of altering our status, we have been retired for some twelve years, we have no intention of seeking work in either country.
We both have 10 year B2 visas, & have also had them prior to the current ones, we like to spend as much vacation time as possible in the USA.
We recently purchased a lot in NC & built a vacation home there & need to fully understand the rules of our B2 visas, we are tending to spend approx 6 weeks in the UK & 6 weeks in the USA.
Normally we have no problems entering the USA & the officers are more than helpful & welcoming, however on a couple of occasions one officer tends to comment on our frequent visits & indicates that the B2 visa entitles us to an aggregate of 6 months in the USA in any one year.
We would welcome clarification, we have made a significant investment in the USA & if we cannot use our vacation home as we thought we need to rethink our future use.
Regards
