Please Clarify Duration of Stay Allowed

Hi,

Currently my parents are in US and i need the following clarification regarding the Visitor VISA.

My parents arrived in US on 07-July-2010 and the deparature date is 03-Jan-2010.Theirs I-94 is valid till 06-Jan-2010.However recently i got information from one of my friends saying that the period of stay should not exceed 180 days.Duration of my parents stay is 182 days but their departure date is within the I-94 date. Can you please let me know if there are any issues with the departure plan on 03-Jan and if i need to prepone the departure plan.

They can stay until the date on I-94 form.
