  • How to get B1/B2 Visitor visa appointment sooner

    Hi,
I applied for my mom's visa about 3 months ago. First available date for Visa interview I got was Aug 2024 (Mumbai)!! She is 78 and had B1/B2 visa which expired in 2010. Are there anyway, I can get her visa interview sooner? She is not 80 so I could not get a visa interview waiver. Is there anything I can do to get her to states sooner?

    Thanks for your help

Keep trying online to find a visa slot sooner - there is no other way, if you do not have any emergency reason to submit to consulate/embassy.

No, thats not true, they have very limited staff understanding local languages.

No, they have translator there for multiple local languages (like you'll get Punjabi translator in Delhi, Gujrati translator in Mumbai, Tamil translator in Chennai etc). But expecting Tamil translator in Delhi is difficult.

I've seen VO calling other applicants in-line to help translate for aged parents, thats why local embassy/consulate is preferred.
