My immediate family is having their citizenship interview soon, and I plan on going to the US soon after they get their citizenship. They will apply for my green card during my stay in the US. I currently have a B1/B2 visa. Would it be a problem if I enter the US with intentions of getting a green card? And can I buy just an one-way ticket? Thanks!

When you "try to" enter into USA using B1/B2 visa, at POE you'll have to prove that your current visit in matching the requirement of non-immigrant visa & you'll surely return once the purpose of trip is met. If you fail to prove that to VO, they will deport you right there.- I am not an Attorney, hence not giving any legal advice. Just sharing MY opinion with an intent to help others.
