Hi there,
I've been having B1/B2 visa since Dec'2006 valid till Dec'2016 (10yrs,multientry with No annotations,issued in India) I got this visa as one of my client wanted me to visit them on a business trip.however the trip got canceled after i got the visa.
I never got an opportunity to travel as many a times the my clients requirements changed. Later I migrated here to UK and have been living here for last 1.5 yrs.
I'm planning to visit US this Dec on a pleasure trip. I hope I'm eligible to travel to US on pleasure trip as I've B2 visa. I've already booked my return tickets and booked a hotel for my stay. I've taken return ticket to Vegas and booked 10 days hotel stay there. One of my frnd is planning to join me there in Vegas and we are planning to goto LA for 3 days during my trip.
I've couple of questions:
1. I've excellent travel history to countries like Spain,France etc.I've never overstayed or stayed illigally in any country - However One company did apply for my work visa to US (H1 in2007) which was rejected as the company could not provide sufficient docs related to the projects - Would it cause any problem for me at the POE?
2. I want to buy a Travel Insurance - any suggestions? (is it a mandatory document at the port of entry?)
3. I've done hotel booking for my entire trip (10 days) in Vegas. As I mentioned I might travel to LA and have plans of making hotel reservations in LA aswell, however I might not book travel tickets between Vegas and LA since my frnd wants to hire car for that journey - Should I inform the immigration officer at POE about my LA trip plan? Should I also inform the officer that as this plan is tentative I've booked entire 10 days hotel stay in Vegas?
4. How much money (minimum) I should carry as a proof of funds for my daily expenses - Do they ask me at the POE for this? If so, should I carry cash and travelers cheques? I'm anyways going to carry my UK debit and credit cards.
5. Any other document required (obviously apart from Passport/Visa, hotel bookings)?
