In my present passport (has expired L1 individual valid L1 Blanket stampings) which is expiring in 2013, my father's last name is printed as initial in front of his first name and there is no last name for my mother. I am applying for a new passport for my mother and renewal passports for myself and my father.
Option 1: Should I renew my passport with first name and last name of my parents printed on it and have my parents' first name and last name in my parents' passports. There would then be a difference in my parents' names between my old and new passports.
OR
Option 2: Can I go ahead with the names as in my old passport for my new passport but have full names in my parents' passports. This would lead to a difference in the names in my passport, DS 160 (where I gave their full names) and my parents' passports. Would this give a problem when they go for visitor's visa.
