Hello all, i recently got a w-1 visa for Canada and I am yet to travel there. I will not be able to travel to canada for another 2-3 months which would mean my passport will expire in less than 6 months on the day I want to travel. This happened because the process took almost 9 months to complete and I couldn't change my passport mid application.
Therefore I am thinking of getting my passport renewed in the mean time. That means that my visa will exist on a cancelled passport.

Will I need to reprocess my visa on my new passport before entering Canada or is my visa on the old passport considered valid(i saw a tweet from IRCC which says it will be valid but it's from 2019)?
Is there a place on ircc website where I can find this info? I looked a bit but couldn't find anything.
How can I contact IRCC to confirm this ? I am not able to dial the number on their website from where I am and the webform only entertains existing applications which are under process.
