Can we go to any city for B2 Biometrics and Visa Appointment

Dear All, My mother is 78+ years old, and living in "Delhi".

Q: Can she go to any other City (for B2 Visa), or they/VFS/Consulate will refuse by saying that she can only apply in her local region's Consulate/Visa office (i.e. "Only in New Delhi Consulate")...?

or, she can apply for the VFS Appointment & US Consulate Appointment at any other Consulate Office (e.g. in Mumbai, Hyderabad, or Chennai, wherever the early dates are available?

Please advise.

- Do you know if any person has applied in other region's office & got stamping...? Please tell me.

- US Consulate Visa Appointment Date (for New Delhi) is showing APRIL 2024, while other cities (e.g. Mumbai) are showing the available dates in this summer.

First of all, based on her age, she should be eligible with dropbox - no need to go for interview.

Yes, its fine. As long as all documents she carrying are in English & she is able to attend interview in English.
