  • Asking about the type of (US) visa/work visa needed

I'm a South African citizen & I have friends in the US, they are a couple who are soon to have a baby. They are in need of child/homecare once they have a baby. They would generally like me to visit them but also would prefer me to be the one to work for/assist them. We have a similar way of life and values hence they wouldn't really prefer conventional means assistance plus being more familiar with me is the bonus & more flexible even financially. I'd be required there until the baby is about year old (so for next 12 months).

When I look into types of omegle work visas, I don't fit into the requirements of any of them. If it was short term, perhaps I would go for a B1 visa. What type of visa would be suitable for my situation?

One possible option is to apply for a B-2 tourist visa, which allows for temporary visits to the US for tourism or medical treatment. With a B-2 visa, you may be able to stay in the US for up to six months. However, a B-2 visa does not allow for employment or work, so you would not be able to work as a caregiver.

Based on the information you provided, it sounds like you are interested in working as a caregiver for your friends' child in the United States. In order to do this, you will need to obtain a work visa that allows you to legally work in the US. PMP Payslip First Registration

Unfortunately, there is no specific visa category that is designed for your particular situation. However, you may be able to apply for a B-1 visa or a J-1 visa. Here are some details on each of these visa options:PMP Payslip First Registration

B-1 visa: This type of visa is typically used for business purposes, such as attending meetings or conferences. However, it may be possible to use a B-1 visa for short-term domestic work, such as providing childcare. To qualify for a B-1 visa, you must show that you do not intend to stay in the US permanently, that you have ties to your home country (such as a job or family), and that you have sufficient funds to support yourself during your stay in the US.PMP Payslip First Registration

J-1 visa: This type of visa is intended for cultural exchange programs, including au pair programs. You may be able to use a J-1 visa to work as a caregiver for your friends' child. To qualify for a J-1 visa, you must be sponsored by an approved program sponsor, such as an au pair agency. The program sponsor will help you find a host family and will provide you with support and training during your stay in the US.PMP Payslip First Registration

It's important to note that both the B-1 and J-1 visas have restrictions on the type of work you can do and the length of your stay in the US. You should consult with an immigration attorney or the US Embassy in South Africa for guidance on which visa option is best for your particular situation. PMP Payslip First Registration

Caregivers also have light and heavy jobs. In this case, why not?
