  • US Visa Renewal- Interview waiver

    Hello,

I am planning to renew my US visa in Toronto (B2) and would like to have the interview waived. I got my visa in 2012 (applied with family, I was 24 years old). I’ve traveled several times to the US since then.

I can’t recall if I was ten- printed in Manila when we were interviewed in 2012… In my renewal application, “Have you been ten printed?” should I put YES or NO?

If I put YES and it turns out that they don’t have my fingerprints, will they reject my visa application?

I really want to avoid having to get an interview because I need to travel in October for a wedding Speed Test https://vidmate.bid/ .

    Thank you!

    Hello,
I am just want to say that If you are unsure if you were ten-printed during your previous visa application, it is best to answer "Yes" to the question. It is always better to err on the side of caution and provide accurate information.

If you do answer "Yes" and it turns out that they do not have your fingerprints on record, it should not automatically result in the rejection of your visa application. However, it may mean that you need to attend an in-person interview or that your application takes longer to process. MI Bridges App

It is important to remember that the decision to waive the interview is ultimately up to the consular officer, and there is no guarantee that it will be granted. You should make sure to provide all necessary documentation and evidence to support your application, and be prepared to attend an interview if required.

I hope this helps, and good luck with your visa application.

If you are unsure whether you were ten-printed during your previous visa application, it is best to answer "YES" to the question asking if you have been ten-printed. It's always better to err on the side of caution and provide accurate information to avoid any potential issues or delays in your visa application process. The US Embassy in Toronto will have access to your previous visa application records and can verify if you were ten-printed or not. Alpine Skyward

The best option is to say yes, but whether or not you have an interview is up to the officer's discretion.
