  • Renewal B1/B2: Dad >80yrs, Mom 75, old visa expired >4yrs ago, Dropbox issues (Mom)

Applied for renewal of both together. USTravelDocs said both are eligible for dropbox. Appt was Mar. 13, Chennai).

I arranged for the documents to be submitted by an agent. At the submission window, they only accepted my father's docs. But I declined to accept my mom's as she was younger than 80 years, and the previous visa expired >48 months ago (in such case dropbox isn't possible).

    I have a few questions:

    1. Any suggestions on the best course of action?
    2. Visa agent advised me to contact USTravelDocs by email and ask for my mom's application to be delinked from my dad's and linked to a separate email id
    3. Make the appointment again, and at that time, it will prompt for fingerprints and probably an interview as well
    4. Do you guys agree with this suggestion or advise something different?
    5. Is this the best email to contact them? support-india@ustraveldocs.com
    6. I tried to call customer support no. It only has options for appt related steps, all automated, no actual person

    Greatly appreciate your answers.

    TIA

I have the exact same situation. Is there any guidance on this?
