    Hello:

My husband and I want to sponsor a young lady from Peru. She is not related to us; she is a good friend to us, and she wants to visit our country, US, for a few weeks.

Do we still have to show our Original Birth Certificate to the Peruvian Embassy? We are both US Citizens. We do have US Passports to show it. We also have a Marriage Certificate. Can we send a copy of the Passports, and Marriage Certificate along with the Application?

Do both my husband and I individually have to a letter from the Bank, Employer, and Bank Statements?

    I appreciate your time.

    Thank you,

    1. You don't need to show the birth certificate.

    2. Any one of you can sponsor.
