Query on Passport during US Visa Interview

I scheduled b2 visa appointment for my parents for Nov 2023 and realized my dad's passport is expiring in Jan 2024(after 2 months). I will ask him to renew the passport before going to the interview. I will ask him to take all the passports

My question is Do i need to fill ds160 again anf update in CGI or just contact embassy to update the passport or ask dad to renew the passport after the interview
