  • Parents visa ( B2 ) rejected

    Hi,

I am on H1B in USA.My parents appeared for the tourist visa interview at mumbai consulate in Nov 2010 but visa application rejected because of not strong tie in india. The problem is that My father is retired officer and get the pension., so he could not prove strong tie in front of VO. I entered occupation "Retired" in DS 160. I want to apply for visa interview in Dec again. Is there any problem in applying within short duration ? Can I change occupation in DS-160 when I will apply ? How can my father show strong tie in term of his occupation ? Please advise. Thank you for all your help.

      Visa

Most people get it very wrong about the visitor visa to The USA. The Visa is basically granted thru the process of an interview wherein the visa officer determines the intent of the applicant.

There are two basic reason why the applications get denied:-

      01. The application form is not filled in corretly. By this I mean that the information has to be right - rather worded right

      02. The Interview - Most of the time a Visa officer doesnot look at the document carried by the applicant - it is the applicants words - rather the words coming out of the horse mouth - which are important - this is where the applicants go wrong

      * A visa officer does not go by any set list of questions and answers

      * Every applicant is a different finger print

      * Most Indian applicants - specially the parents of people staying in The US of A, go prepared by a set list of questions and answers sent in by their kids in America. This is where things go wrong

** An applicant should go to the visa officer the day - one feels - YES - I am going to get the visa

** Visa is not a Lottery - that one may go and try ones luck

Lastly - remember - Visa is as easy an an applicant makes it - AND - as tough as an applicant makes it
