Applying for a Swiss visa in Mexico

I'm a non-US citizen with a US green card and I've just received a two-month internship offer in Switzerland. Unfortunately, there is no available appointment time in the US and the nearest time available that will allow me to get to my internship on time is in Mexico, so I want to ask whether anyone knows if I'm allowed to apply for a Swiss visa in Mexico?
