    Can i buy a primary residence in another state

    Hi,

    I am on H1b and currently live in state A where I work. My wife lives in State B. I would like to buy a house in State B. I will continue to live in state A but my wife will live in the new house in state B and the mortgage will be applied under my name.

    Can I buy a house in state B ( the house will be bought as primary residence ) ?
