Hi everyone,
i'm a social worker working with teenagers in Berlin, Germany. I helped one of our kids apply for a standard visitor visa to go on an exchange trip to the uk. He is 17 years old and from afghanistan but lives in germany with a temporary residence permit. We used gov.uk to apply for the visa. We've done the biometrics and he left is passport with the application centre. They said it takes about 3 weeks to process and after 2 weeks he got an e-mail that a decision has been made and that he can collect his passport router login.
The problem we now have is that there is no stamp or any other information in his passport. He also didnt recieve an e-mail with the information that his visa was denied or approved. Contacting the application centre hasnt helped either because they said they cant give out any personal information.
What are we missing? Why did he get his passport back without any information about his visa? We really don't know what to do anymore.
