My mom, I have our US Visa B1/ B2 interview Tuesday. Need help in possible questions

My brother is a student in New York. But he won’t be joining us for our trip, we will be travelling to 6-7 places. I’m unsure if I should say that we’re visiting him or we’re travelling or both, and how it would affect our outcome?
