B2 Visa Renewal while unemployed/not selected for H2-B lottery

Hi,

I was on a student (F1) visa and was working in the US under OPT work authorization after graduating in May 2022. My company and I applied for the H2-B visa but were not selected for the lottery, therefore I returned back home (Bolivia, for context) a few days ago to figure out what my next steps in life will be. My tourist visa expired while I was under my F1 visa, and I'd like to renew my tourist visa ASAP to visit friends (some are getting married and/or have important life events I'd like to be present for). My concern, though, is having my tourist visa renewal denied since I am currently unemployed and did not get selected for the H2-B lottery very recently (March 2023). Would this raise a red flag while underoing the B2 visa renewal? Does anyone have any advice? Greatly appreiate any input!
