If a visa appeal is successful, does it mean I no longer have visa denial history?

I recently applied for a tourist visa for some country but was rejected by the Visa Officer. Later, I appealed and received an email stating that my application is granted on appeal. In that case, let's say I will apply for another tourist visa in another country next year. If I am required to to answer whether I have been refused a visa to another country, should I check "yes" and add extra information about a successful appeal decision, or simply just check "no"?
