name spelling error on visa

I just applied for visitor visa for usa(b1,b2) and i got 6 month single entry visa.But unfortunately the way my name was written in the passport it was difficult to tell a letter in the name if it was an "e" or "a."I never got it corrected bec it could be passed for an "e" which is how i speell my name.But when the passport came back witht the visa it had my name with an "a" instead of "e".The embassy thinks it is an "a" and asked me to get it corrected on the passport first.I got my name corrected on the old passport by the passport office .Now i want to know if i have to go thru the entire process of the visa interview again inorder to get my name corrected or what .What would i be having any problems in getting visa again
kindly post if anyone has had a similar proiblem or any advica.
