My fiancé is in India, and he is currently in the process of getting a divorce. His ex-wife has filed a domestic violence case against him. We were considering applying for his B1 visa now, as we need to wait a little longer to finalize the divorce. However, we've heard that due to the domestic violence case, he may only receive a one-year valid passport. Does anyone have information on this? Additionally, if I were to sponsor his B1 visa, would the one-year validity impact his chances of approval, considering the circumstances?
