Urgent-Mom's B1/B2 renewal, father passed away, all fin docs in his name. What to do?

Have a biometrics appointment on Oct 12th and Interview on Oct 19th. We just got father's death certificate. Will take time to transfer Bank a/cs, property etc.( not possible before Interview. In such case, what supporting documents mother should carry? Will carry a cover letter/declaration saying she is the nominee and inherits all the property, bank a/cs etc., with the proof of those work?
