  • B2-Father passed away. Can Mother attend OFC with same appointment confirmation

My Father-in-law and Mother-in-law have the same B2 Visa appointment confirmation letter which we booked a year back. Father-in-law passed away recently. Can my Mother-in-law attend OFC and Consular with the same letter.

What extra documents are needed in this situation.

I'm sorry for your loss. First of all, I would recommend consulting with an Immigration lawyer or attorney for any other possibility and legal formalities. Yet I can offer some information that might be helpful.

Well! it's crucial to reach out to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate where the visa appointment is scheduled and inform them about the situation as soon as possible. They will be able to guide you steps to be taken next. You may need to provide documentation such as a death certificate and possibly any other relevant documents regarding the change in circumstances. The embassy or consulate will be able to advise you whether your mother-in-law can use the same appointment confirmation letter.
