I want to bring my parents to visit us.
I have all the documents done including the affidavit of support.


Here is my scenario. I had my name change done in passport due to marriage, so i have my both new and old passport.
Having query in "identification, relationship and legal status" and specifically in legal status part.
I have my old unexpired I-797 with old name.
1)will it the old I-797 or i need a new I-797 with new name to send them?
2) If a ammendment for name change is applied then how much time does it take?
3) Can i send the old I-797 and the application for ammendment for name change? will this work.....

Send everything as normal plus the proof of name change such as copies of new passport, marriage certificate etc.

No need to do anything with I-797.

What name should i use while filling I-134?

Again both me and my husband are on H1b. I came on H4 and got my H1b in oct2010. 3 months back.
So my bank balance is low and duration on h1b too.

Do u think that its a good idea that my husband sponsors for my parents(his inlaws)?

Since he is on h1b for more than 2yrs ...........
