getting eply from [email protected] after sending email for account recovery

Hi,
I had given my account details to a person to schedule early appointment but he turned out to be a scammer.He changed the email and password so I am unable to login.
I emailed them Embassy but haven't got reply in 7 days.
Will I have any chance to recover the account?
I called US consulate in Toronto too , they just said to email them.
I am worried the scammer might do something with my data.
is there any other way to recover account?
