I (Italian) currently hold a Tier 4 Student Visa as I am studying in England. My boyfriend is British and therefore holds British citizenship, while I do not. I plan on living and working in this country, but the process of applying for a new visa and specifically which one to apply for is extremely confusing. I frankly do not understand whether I have to wait for my student visa to "expire" before I can apply for a Fiance OR Marriage Visa in order to be able to marry my partner or not, and whether it is convenient to do so or not and which type of visa to pick. 1- Am I able to marry my partner without having to apply for a Fiance or Marriage Visa?
2- If not, which one would I have to pick between the two? And is it convenient?
3- What are the differences between the two kinds of visas?
4- If we were to get married in my country (Italy), would our marriage still be recognised by law in England?
