    They were asked
VO - Who lives in USA?
    Father - Son
VO - Who is sponsoring yout trip?
    Father - Son
VO - Where is your son living in US?
Father - XYZ (he told city and state name)
VO - Where does he work? which company?
    Father - XYZ
VO - How long your son is staying in US?
    Father - 3.5 yrs
VO - When did you meet your son last?
    Father - 2 years back.
VO - How much is your son's salary?
    Father - xyz$
VO - Ok, i m giving you both (father and mother) visa.

They were not asked for single document.
One more thing my H1B is under extension process still my parents got visa. So if anyone has doubt regarding this, dont worry and go ahead with visa process for parents (or in-laws).

Thanks Immihelp members for all the help during this process...

    B2 Visa @ Mumbai

Thanks for sharing your experience. Could you please let us know if your parents are still working in India or they are retired?

    Regards,

@ Amit - I have strange situation. I completed DS-160 and paid visa fees in March'10. But I could not get appointment dates for 3 months instead of trying almost everyday. Then my father retired on June 30. My mother is still working (she is Govt employee). We were concerned that we stated in application that my father is working, but at the time of interview he was retired. But VO didnt ask both my father and mother about their employment. I guess we got lucky.
All the best for your parents visa.
