sponsor of in-laws

Hi,
i'm planning to bring my in-laws to USA. My I94 (of H1B) expires in 2 months. So I cannot process the sponsor docs. for them. But their son is also in US. Can I have him process the sponsor docs and put the flight tickets to my place?

I'm in east & he is in west coast. So will it be an issue in port of entry for my in-laws when they say that they come to my place to see their daughter instead of going to their son's place?

And then, they can visit anyone they want.
