  • No surname in passport

    Hello,

When I was trying to fill DS 160, I found my Mother in laws passport had no surname and only given name.

When I was reading the help in immihelp I came to an understanding that the given name from the passport should be in last name on the form as the surname is missing and the first name in the form should be FNU.

    Is that correct?

    Please advice.

    Many thanks,
    Jothi

yes...its true.!! if there is no surname in the passport, the given name must be used as surname and "FNU" for first/given name..
